Poor penetration of generic and biosimilar drugs. Our country remains at the lowest levels in the OECD area for market share of equivalent medicines. While other nations contain costs by relying on identical active ingredients but at a lower price, in Italy the drug continues to be favored "brand"or originator, which costs the National Health System more.

Sono stato in farmacia del mio paese qualche mese fa, volevo del ca**o di ibuprofene e ketoprofene. Ora, il tizio al bancone mi sembrava veramente un incapace, pareva non sapesse manco come muoversi (qualcuno mi ha detto che è il figlio imbranato della titolare) fatto sta che gli ho gentilmente chiesto il ketoprofene generico e niente, dopo 15 minuti di ricerche mi ha dato l’oki perché non trovava altro. E per l’ibuprofene? Mi ha dato il moment.
Sono entrato che ero da solo, sono uscito che avevo 5 persone dietro, mi sono vergognato io al posto del “farmacista”. Non ci tornerò mai più lì. Era una emergenza perché avevo finito i farmaci a casa, ora li ordino generici online e risparmio un botto (pure i non generici a onor del vero costano meno online).

Siamo un paese di anziani mi sembra più che normale anzi pensavo peggio.
