Why was there a gap before 2008? I thought it was *too* easy to buy a house back then?

Ohhoho no.
That’s far too optimistic.
Deregulate and build more. Not much else you can do.
American dream is a scam to start with.
The equivalent of bosses dangling quick promotions before young workers for extra unpaid hours.
When everybody knows the actual way is either ass kissing or nepotism.
Good thing corporations own entire neighborhoods and can artificially control the rental market
