Auction house in Germany tried to sell items stolen from victims in death cams including Auschwitz, Ravensbruck, Sachseuhausen or Warsaw ghetto. Starting prices were 120 EUR. Embassy of Poland intervened and auction is cut now.
I remind that tens of thousands items including important for our history like manuscript "Gaude, Mater Poland" are still not returned by Germans. To paraphrase some german jokes about Poles "Go to the Germany, paintings and golden teeth of your grandfather are already there"🙂

Wtf, this is fucking sick.
Who need enemies with such friends. The best lame excuse so far was: polish side have to show evidence that those are really from Poland, while some of those have polish postal stamps. I really dislike how arrogant Germans are sometimes.

There were many cases of germans refusing to return the works of art and other goods stolen by them during WWII. Many were auctioned like the ones mentioned in this article.
Have the police started an investigation into the theft?
