  1. Our energy pricing system is stupid and hurts the economy. If Labour want to win back anybody they should change it to something more sensible

  2. We are about to learn the subtle nuance between cost (what a producer spend to put 1kWh on the grid), which have been falling under our collective cheers and gleeful headlines, and price (what a customer spend to get 1kWh when needed)

    Things like this are why Labour are seen as failing (regardless of how true it is or isn’t). As the government in power, they must have the ability to drive the energy companies to change their models and, basically, stop ripping everyone off, or to change how the energy regulator operates, or to change the rules that govern energy prices. This is the kind of tangible “change” that many people voted for, but when it never comes, people obviously question if and how they’re better than other options.
