  1. Remember folks, organics as in “organic chemistry”, as in “chemistry involving carbon”. Necessary for life as we know it, but not in itself an indicator of life.

    Between this, Europa’s little clipper mission, and that recent development with Mars, it seems like stuff like this may not be the rarest thing in our solar system. Imagine what that could mean scaled up if we have not one, two, but three planetary bodies showing signs of chemical reactions that are involved in the process of life.

    Maybe it’s less like all this happened to show up on earth in a dead universe, and more like planets and moons are constantly rolling a sort of “life dice,” with earth just happening to win
