I recently visited Tbilisi and have since returned. I am going on another trip and noticed this red tag on the bottom of my bag.
When I retrieved my bag at Tbilisi airport after going through customs my bag was taken off of the luggage belt and placed standing up, which I thought was a little odd, but I wouldn’t have been able to see the label since it was facing the ground.
No one said anything as I left, was there something I was supposed to do or what? I haven’t seen this before.

They opened it to check what’s inside, that’s it.
It means airport security checked your bag.

People saying they checked it are wrong, it has been marked so customs officers could see and check but I guess they missed it just like you.

It doesn’t mean it has been searched, it’s supposed to mean that you take it to the guys to get searched on the way out but everyone ignores it and most of the time. nobody is there anyway. I have 50 of these on my case in all colours and never any idea which is most recent.
I’ve gotten these stickers before too and since no one checked anything before I left the airport or told me I needed to do something about it, I assumed they had already searched my luggage. Love that opinions are split on this though lol

Had this every time when I was in Tbilisi and even had homebrew in the luggage, but they never took it 😅
