General Government was de facto Germany occupied Poland in the sense of “territory of Poland”. However de iure, this piece of land was absolutely subject to German control and German administration. Nazi German courts first ruled the statelessness of this territory corroborating the judgment by the collapse of Polish authorities as a result of German invasion. Then the all-German administration was established, granting GG the status of an autonomous province of Germany. Contrary to Vichy France or Quisling’s Norway, GG was not ruled by a subdued collaborating local puppet state, but any form of Polish agency or governance was wiped clean to give place to German structures under /-/ Frank. It was not the land that committed crimes against humanity on Jews. People did, German Nazis. Therefore evoking Poland in this context is manipulation, and correcting this to Germany-occupied Poland is, in legal and ethical sense, also a manipulation no matter how much more historically accurate.
Conveniently omitting the fact that he summoned the Israeli Ambassador, and the Yad Vashem had corrected their post after his intervention. What would you expect in return? Economic sanctions? To seriously threaten anything more than was already done in response to a damn tweet while refraining from doing so in response to what was and still is happening in Palestine would be amazingly demeaning ane disrespectful to every civilian victim of Netanyahu campaigns of terror and his settler support base.

tbh he cant do anything else, Sikorski was and always will be member of the israel echo chamber. When that chamber starts to target Poland (which it does constantly, since netanyahu election campaign), Sikorski is like that small traumatized child who sees his parents arguing.
