    1. Grzegorz Braun and Konfederacja have combined 20% of the votes of Poland. So yes, you’ll unfortunately get a lot of pro-Russian idiots.

Most people however, as you can see from the number of “sad” reactions, are normal.

There’s a certain portion of population that is very susceptible to Russia influence. They don’t believe in fact that people die in Ukraine due to Russian agresion

See kids that’s why you stay in school, so you won’t fall for Russian (or any other) propaganda.

    3. They would tell you the war isn’t real or that Ukrainians are doing harm to Poland so it’s their fault or some other shit.

    4. I hope they’re bots. Otherwise it’s beautiful to call them for supporting genocide and terrorism in local department of police to ask some questions

    5. If you see people from your own country commenting stupid shit on news, do you also automatically assume that this is the general opinion of everybody in your country on this news?

    6. It’s not a coincidence. It’s been a pretty visible tendency for a while. I follow two blogs about police on FB. Usually they make like ~100-150 reactions and a dozen of comments under an average post. Whenever they mention Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens in Poland or Braun, it suddenly has at least 1500-2000 of “haha” and “angry” reactions, and hundreds, hundreds and hundreds of comments from empty profiles or those with a Polish flag on a pfp.

You have to remember that there is many Poles that probably do find this funny or as something to celebrate.

But at the same time remember, that most of the Russian acts of sabotage in Poland were made by Ukrainians working for Russians.

Nothing is black and white and in every group you will find people working for the enemy.

    8. No reasonable person really engages on social media like Facebook, bear that mind. The rest are trolls, bots and morons that feel that they’re the silent majority because of that.

    9. Because they’re f*cked morons who find childs’ death funny?

Same reactions appears under posts about Palestine or Sudan

    10. bots + couple intellectually challenged cretins + human cuck bots to.
Signing this with your own name is a fecking disaster. Russians would benefit from this – so they doing this to I guess.

    11. Are you so bored that you check who reacted to certain posts? What’s the point? There aren’t many conclusions to be drawn from this, other than that some people who are hostile to Ukrainians will “enjoy” the bad things that happen in Ukraine. This happens all over the world with every conflict.

    12. I bet if there would be a way on FB to check which country these “people” (in quotation marks because most of them are artificial bots anyway) connect from it would be a VPN from Netherlands or some undefined country from south east Asia or eastern Europe.

    13. pantrokator-bezsens on

Those are either idiots, bots or just foreign agents posing as Poles.

In general it is naive to take at face value what social media likes of Facebook (or Reddit for that matter) are showing.

    14. Those are not Poles, honestly, i live in Poland and i never met anyone who genuinely reacted with some kind of happynes or sth like that when told some ukrainian city got attacked

    15. Ciekawe, jak wielu z nich ma nazwiska bez polskich znaków diakrytycznych. 😂 I te ich posty jakoś tak wypełnione rusycyzmami.

Facebook today is a complete garbage. Please move out from it for your own mental wellbeing. I’m from Poland and I’ve seen a ton of anti-ukrainian bot shit on facebook and I tried to get it removed by the fb moderation. 100% of the times I got response “this comment doesn’t abuse our community rules”. Also, there are tons of other malitious stuff on facebook. I highly recommend stop using this garbage.

PS. There are some anti-ukrainian, xenofobic, easily manipulated or stupid people in Poland, like everywhere, but they are a minority. I would say, maybe 5-10% of the total population. That’s my guess.

    17. I can see it is from facebook… this platform is no longer usable for normal people – filled with bota, ai, all kind of scammers and no administration by fb. I only check it if I have to, which is very rarely

    18. It’s been all over reddit for last few days: many of these “Polish” accounts are based abroad, and hide behind VPN – there certainly are idiots in Poland (like Mentzen the Traitor), but much of it will be part of disinformation coming from you know where

    19. PermafrostPerforated on

Yes, some of those people are real, but most of them wouldn’t dare to behave like that in public because deep down they know it’s not acceptable. So they go on social media instead since it feels safe.
I’ve only met one person IRL here who openly took pleasure in hearing about the horrible things going on in Ukraine, and that guy is a sad embittered fuck who always has needed to unload his frustrations with his own life on some scapegoat, whether it’s the jews, gays, atheists, ukrainians or whatever he’s read about online.
I imagine a lot of those people you see there are like that.

With the recent revelations on twitter I would be surprised if these weren’t russian or pro-russian Indian bots.

    21. North_Emphasis2873 on

      It literally makes me sick.

When you click on some of their profiles as well, you can see that many of them are real people. Some of them fall for Russian propaganda. Some are idiots. Some have less-than-ideal life circumstances and so blame Ukrainians for their “misfortune” . With some, it’s a mixture of these things. I can’t listen to these people or read their comments though because it just makes me depressed.

    22. Living on the rural area makes me feel like it’s very little when majority of people I know IRL have horrible views on the war in Ukrain

    23. DullCriticism6671 on

99% of these are russian bots, the remaining 1% are very real morons who think they “demonstrate their independent thinking and being able to connect the dots”, whatever these dots were to mean.

Still way to many, but they are just a fraction of the comments and reactions you see. Most are not even real people – not long ago, X revealed the VPN of accounts posting, and these supposed Poles turned out to be posting from Nigeria or the Netherlands (still not their real locations, just a Gate – the real location is masked, but easy to guess).

Dead internet at its finest. And morons reposting bot content.

    24. Believe me Poles find theses reactions abhorrent too. I always call them out. Those are comments who knows who makes them. Remember in reality how poles helped Ukrainian refugees.

    25. Look at it this way: these reactions are 13% of the total, and a large portion (probably the majority) are just Russian bots. So maybe a maximum 5% of Polish people think and behave like this. They are out there, and it’s still too many, but they’re just a loud minority. Unfortunately anti-Ukrainian sentiment has found some footing in society, but it’s absolutely not how the majority feels.

    26. You are barking up the wrong tree. Ask the ones that were laughing, you’ll soon discover half is bots, some are trolls and some are genuinely unhinged people, which every country has.

    27. Some of these names don’t have polish diacritic marks. Polish people don’t make such mistakes in their own names and surnames.

    28. Facebook is nothing now but bots and angry aunties lucking on local community pages. Close your account. It’s a massive part of the Dead Internet.

    29. polski_obserwator on

It is very easy to write a script that will automatically send reactions to Facebook posts from multiple fake accounts. You can use the Selenium library for this.

It is a bit more difficult to comment on posts. This requires either the use of translators by Russian operators or the use of large language models. Both are troublesome.

That is why I would not worry at all about reactions such as: liking, disliking, anger, laughter.

    30. ClockworkOrdinator on

      1. Bots

      2. Conspiracy theorists (idk how to translate „szury”) who only consume kremlin propaganda slop distributed by their favorite rightwing conartist running a fanpage on facebook. Or a political party.

      3. Actual morons who do not inhabit the common reality.

Do yourself a favor and don’t go to facebook because this kind of bs is 90% of the content there. It’s not fundamentally different from antivax misjnfornation or climate change denialism.
