Hey everyone, I’m thinking about renting out my Tesla Model 3 (2020, approx. 180,000 km, a few body damage) privately because I hardly use it at the moment. For next week I have an interested party who would like to rent the car for a week.
He is planning a trip to Germany and would drive around 1,500 km a week. This makes me a bit unsure because I don’t know exactly how to properly protect myself for such a distance and a trip abroad.
My questions: • What insurance do I need so that I don’t get stuck with damage? • Is fully comprehensive insurance sufficient or do I also need third-party driver insurance? • Do I have to take anything special into account when traveling abroad? • What is the best way to protect myself in the contract (deposit, photos, mileage limit, etc.)? • What should definitely be included in a private rental agreement? • How would you set the price per week given this mileage and condition? • Would you even allow 1,500 km in a week?
If anyone has experience with private rentals, long-distance trips through renters or platforms like 2em/goMore – I would be grateful for tips!
Thank you 🙌

Die meisten normalen Auto-Versicherungen schliessen die Vermietung explizit von der Versicherung aus. Im Schadenfall zahlen die dann gar nix.
Vlt was wie ribe?
