The force didn’t even root out that she was accessing information she shouldn’t do over a period of months until they found texts between them on the suspect’s phone. Awful.

Is somehow the police not allowed to do background checks now?

Anyone can get a job in the police now, because no one wants to do it. The entry standards are basically non existent

Just in time for them to start filming the new series of Line of Duty.

Reminds me of that story of a wife found guilty of insider trading because she was overhearing her banker husband over the phone while they were both home working.
Maybe its an age thing, but i would have no faith in an officer that looked like that. Looks unprofessional.

How on earth were there no backgrounds checks?! Surely this would’ve been flagged up through basic police checks?!

Something like happened when I was in the NHS too, a nurse was letting her boyfriend know when people had appointments so he could burgle their house.
I’m sure of these people many are malicious but some I just feel sorry for. Some get manipulated into it by their boyfriend/girlfriend and convinced it’s all okay.

Her undercover operation was a success now she can return to her life of being a drug dealers bride 😂

Probably watched The Departed one night, all coked up, and thought “you know what? That’s a *genius* idea!”…then decided to actually follow through with it the next day, the utter melts.

Well, on the plus side, she has a uniform to start her onlyfans.

This also happened during the time police had access to Encrochat and were reading messages, one of their newly hired NCA analysts was passing information about the whole operation to a friend whose boyfriend was being investigated. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-merseyside-67310315
It was apparently bad enough that other countries police forces noticed and were threatening to exclude the UK from the operation due to how much it risked the entire thing.
It’s covered in the pretty good Channel 4 documentaries on the Encrochat operation that are on YouTube, she was really stupid about it and made zero effort to cover her tracks.

Yeah, I guess that’s a classic case of conflict of interest, I see why she got banned

can you imagine being stopped or arrested by her?
you couldn’t be blamed for assuming it was some kind of stripper-gram

It’s funny because HMRC and the DWP do a very good job of summarily firing people who look at stuff unrelated to their job. Want to check the details of an old classmate, maybe try to see what a celebrity pays in taxes? Well, pack your stuff up, Susan, because you’re going home and never coming back.

No criminal charges? Just get to join the police, pass information to criminals and face no consequences.

Don’t let tarts with duck lips and tons of make up around crooks whether they’re on the beat or prison guards. What’s wrong with the robust middle aged matron type who “lives with her sister”? A little common sense please.

Edit: it was the [husband](https://ffslawfirm.com/sec-charges-texas-man-with-insider-trading-wifes-remote-work-call/) listening over his wife’s phone calls. The SEC warns of [off-channel](https://www.bakerlaw.com/insights/sec-eyes-work-from-home-pitfalls-in-crackdown-on-insider-trading-and-off-channel-communications/) communications.
