    1. Lol. So many of such things are already forbidden that it’s a sad joke that people still cause all mess in the air.

As a leftist – I symptahize with those people but their savings CANNOT come at cost of the health of entire society. This needs to be handled.

Jfc, another one….this is a result of coal and old furnaces (“kopciuchy”) used in many homes.

      >Even Nawrocki won’t help us.

      XkurwaD

PiS is literally supporting continued reliance on coal.

Okay, but seriously, why is the air quality so bad in Krakow? Is this a temporary thing or is it throughout the year?

    5. It has nothing to do with “garbage”

This is simply the clean beautiful coal that still being used as fuel in polish homes.

30% of homes in Poland heat with coal

    6. this country can’t be classed as developed if half of the population apparently needs to burn trash to heat their homes in the winter

keep in mind that even ukraine, a country less wealthy and one that has been at war for the past 3 years, doesn’t have this problem

    7. don’t they already check this? I know of a person that was fined around 4-6y ago because they checked the furnace with some kind of sensor that found toxic fumes remaining there as a residue.

or is it only in my town? this might have been because earlier the town invested a lot into geo-thermal heating and buildings insulation.

The garbage has very liffle effect on the situation in my opinion it’s not about garbage. Sure, the smog is more toxic than it would have been had people not been burning garbage, but the amount of individual fireplaces Poland has is highest in Europe and possibly highest in the world. Everyone else uses gas or electricity or central distributed heating to heat their house and coal burning is only so widely used in Poland. Also people suck at making fires and don’t understand you should make a pile big enough to last and burn it from the top instead of adding coal into the fireplace.

You habe to be stupid to think that people are burning garbage in their homes for heat.

    10. Ha, I was growing up in the countryside which was gentrified into suburbs when I was growing up. Even when I got my first car like 10-12 years ago, it used to be so you wasn’t able to see anything driving through. Just thick smoke all over the place.

    11. From Silesia here. The weatger is abysmal dogshit. Smog, fog, ≈ 0⁰C (I tolerate cold but my hands ar freezing off) and utterly dark. You go from 😂 to 🤒😷 to 🥴🚬
