“Doctors said Reece had eaten so much his stomach had stopped working. When they released him he went to McDonald’s”

People like this should be charged for medical treatment.

  2. I think the next time it happens (because he’s clearly not training his stomach) he should be charged the full hospital cost.

Food challenges seem like the male equivalent of only fans, both types of ‘content creators’ attention seeking for money.

  4. >Reece said: “For 22 years I never stepped into a hospital for any reason at all. I’ve never broken a bone or needed any sort of support so I think that if this is the first time I’ve ever done that then I’ve learned a lesson.

    >”I refused to let him do any more challenges for two days. Even the day he came out of hospital he turned round and said ‘I want to do a challenge now’. I sat him down and gave him a lecture and said ‘you need to stop because you’re going to harm yourself’.

Very clearly didn’t learn a lesson.

  5. Headline making it sound like 2kg Steak and 2.5kg fish and chips hospitalised a poor passer by.

  6. I couldn’t even read the headline without saying “38 bombabloodclartpussywagon chicken nuggets!”

Genuinely why there should be some form of basic charge at the end of certain types of admissions. I know tuckers like this would then write it off as a business expense to lower their tax bills but this is a waste of severely under pressure resource at the minute.

It’s so stupid. For some reason there is a weird perception that it’s an accomplishment if you can eat massive portions. Like the restaurants that say your food is free if you can force down the mega portion. And things like eating contests. I really don’t understand it. I find it disgusting.

I think it all stems from a sense of power. Being able to withstand more than someone else.
Like if someone can hold their drink, or if someone can take a punch.
I think a lot of things in our daily lives that we do can be traced back to the most basic of instincts.

Or maybe I’m just overthinking it.

This is possible. My mate is a big, big eater, like he could challenge some of those YouTubers. He took someone on a date and went to a buffet. For some reason she tried to eat at his pace and apparently after a certain amount, your stomach just gives up processing and you become drunk due to it.

I kind of assumed that eating challenges were something Americans did.

    I hoped we were smarter.

    Apparently no.

  14. What? Some steak, fish and chips ate 38 McNuggets so the man went to hospital? Did you not learn basic grammar you div?
