I don’t agree that young boys are that much more misogynistic than previous generations, just the tools that they have to display it are easier. Boys definitely when I was in school used to share nudes for example.
Problem is the societal value of men has not changed despite the improvement in women equality. Men still need to fit a defined patriarchal box but without the ability to do so any longer. It leads to boys/men lashing out.
I don’t think this will be a popular opinion but because these fake videos are so good people will stop believing they are real and all those people who are blackmailed after making mistakes sending wanking videos to someone won’t end up killing themselves because nobody will believe it anyway.
It’s the other side of a shitty coin but the other side still.
For shit like this I think we should make an example of some of the perpetrators. If it isn’t already, AI porn of underage individuals should legally be treated as if they were actual images. And if some dickhead gets multiple years in prison and “has their life ruined”, so be it. Deal with this problem now or it’ll never go away.
I’m so happy that I went to school before social media was a big thing and all that AI bullshit.
