I set my alarm by asking Gemini, and it went off this morning saying:
“Good morning. Two Afghan migrants are among four people charged with raping a teenage girl.”
Normally it just tells me the weather.
That’s a terrible incident, not something you tell someone when they first wake up. I hope all those involved are brought to account and that the poor girl receives the support she needs.

Understand for people under 18, wonder why for a 20 year old?
A 20-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with two counts of rape and arranging or facilitating the travel of a female with a view to exploitation.
All this because we couldn’t even win a war we started.
Checks and balances. We have laws and cultures that have evolved probably from the Victorian age as to what is acceptable and appropriate, and generally most of the population have an education and society experience based on those foundations. We then throw into the mix men with limited to no proper education who have grown up under a medieval set of views and values. Madness.
Honestly, we need something like the Rwanda deal for people from Afghanistan if we aren’t able to deport them back to there
