Not surprised. He also lied about donating his purse for the first Wilder fight to charity.

I never really fell for the whole “I still live humbly in Morecambe and I’m just like everyone else act” anyway.

Once you reach a certain level of wealth, your accountant will ask a defining question: do you want your life to revolve around your money, or your money to support the life you want? If you choose the former, the usual next move is relocating to a low-tax jurisdiction.

Cya you rich bar staff.
I never liked the fact that the top 1% of earners paid 40% of all taxes an the top 10% paid 60% of them.
It’s a disgrace that you have to be earning earing over £50k a year to be a net contributor in this county
I would much rather we were all equal.
If the rich are leaving then so be it. It’s only fair that we protect our public services.
They’ve tried to rich the tax the world over for decades across countries all around the world and it’s always failed.
I’m sure the talented Labour goverment will not only manage to raise taxes on the rich but provide a blue print to all other countries around the world on how a country can successfully tax the rich then I’m all for it, even if it causes short term economic toil and th tax burden drops int he short term to average earners.
Yes we’ll all be paying a lot more tax while public services may crumble given a colossal loss of funding because raising taxes on ordinary workers tax contributions aren’t enough to offset the tax losses by the rich leaving.
But we will at least be able to claim the moral high ground even if we end up much poorer.
The world will look at us being poorer but a beacon of inspiration

But if the government is talking about wealth taxes for anyone over 10m, why is anyone surprised?
The greens are even talking about 100% inheritance tax and are the 2nd most popular party.
Again…is it a surprise that the rich are like…im outta here?

Because taxation is fundamentally the way the government destroys money mainly it is not about funding the nhs etc as they can print that money ad infinitum.
Gov follows this formula:
1. PRINT
2. PUMP
3. TAX
4. Repeat
But each cycle gets worse so usually crisis such as wars end up destroying the money… see the present.
Tax is government legitimate theft of people’s own hard earnt wealth because they issue the currency after printing it, make up the rules without any consent or input by people and then spend it as they will on catastrophic foreign adventures…
See history of taxation.

Unfortunately no matter who you are, when you have his wealth why would you keep it in the UK. The IoM is 50 miles from where he currently lives and there’s a direct ferry to it half an hours drive from where he lives. The IoM is literally advertising for rich brits to move there so their economy gains from their wealth. This will keep happening as long as the taxation towards the rich keeps increasing and you need to be less wealthy every budget for it to make sense for you to do it.

Not here to defend Tyson as I think he’s a big dosser anyway, and have followed him since David Price was at the olympics so I know how bad he really he is under the ‘image change’, but you’d be surprised how many of your favourite ‘moral’ celebrities are also doing exactly the same thing.

It’s like “stay and get shafted like the rest of us”
And to be fair he didn’t actually make that money in the UK either. He made most of it in other countries. I’d do the same in an instant.

As much as this is a shitty stunt for him to pull. It is a lot of pot calling the kettle black when you look at the daily mail’s owner’s tax returns.
