    1. Hi! In this article, I delve into the potential advancements in artificial intelligence over the next five years, drawing from my experience as a software engineer in AI and robotics at ABB Robotics. I discuss several key predictions: humanoid robots achieving human-level capabilities to perform household tasks and hold conversations; the widespread adoption of voice interactions for daily tasks, much like in the movie “Her”; the integration of AI into all software, allowing seamless interaction and automation; the potential decline of traditional programming as AI becomes capable of writing and modifying code; the creation of chart-topping music by AI, indistinguishable from human-produced songs; the emergence of complete AI-generated movies; and advancements in brain-computer interfaces enabling perfect speech through thought. I am eager to hear the community’s opinions and insights on these predictions and how you think these developments might shape our future.

    2. I am sure leaps in advancement will occur. Endless possibilities. New standards. New laws. New norms. New problems, certainly.

    3. We share your enthusiasm for AI. I’ve been watching it very closely since Watson. I too find it difficult to find anyone in my life to share my thoughts with about it.

I’ve noticed that most people have an ‘ick’ response to AI. Something about it makes them mildly uneasy. I don’t know why some of us don’t get that feeling from it but we are definitely in the minority. Makes it hard to explore ideas with people. They don’t want to know what’s coming.
