  1. Still haven’t read what he’s done other than “accused of inappropriate behaviour”. Everyone seems to be happy to drop him now so he must have outgrown his use.

  2. How long till his books are not even stocked in there anymore? If anything actually comes out then I suspect they will be pulled from bookshops, libraries and schools.

  3. UK Reddit is absolutely obsessed with the idea he’s some kind of secret psychopath with bodies under his floorboards, so no doubt a lot of people will be celebrating this.

My understanding is that no details have been released…so this mad panic to disown him is a very big red flag considering all we know he has done and is widely known. Makes you wonder what is known behind the scenes and soon to be released…

  5. I still remember a while back one of the guys who worked on the Jimmy Saville case said that there was a beloved author and tv personality that was under investigation that would be just as shocking as Saville and people assumed it was Walliams and then nothing happened so many just assumed it wasn’t him…I guess these cases just take time.

Going to be some really great timing if the BBC is found to be culpable in a cover up AGAIN

I’m in Australia right now and he did a live interview on Channel 7 news this morning promoting his book.

I only caught the end but there was no mention of the controversy. He seemed very withdrawn and could barely crack a smile. Was a bit odd.

  7. If I am not mistaken didn’t all this start when Baby Reindeer came out and people speculated the famous actor he hangs out with, takes drugs with and gets raped by was Walliams? Not sure what came from that (maybe it was just baseless speculation) but now after much silence this drops… can anyone fill me in on the details here? The timeline is messy af.

Why on earth was he ever booked onto it in the first place? Regardless of this latest controversy, this is still a man who was asked to leave BGT for his behaviour towards female staff members AND there is video footage of him assaulting a teenager on stage. And Waterstones INVITED him to a children’s festival?!

  9. I would be super happy if I am proven wrong but i’ve always had a feeling there’s something ‘off’ about this guy.

All well and good but is he guilty? Do we have a confirmed police investigation that has been concluded and resulted in a conviction?

I’m absolutely certain that television companies, his publisher and festivals (who all generate significant wealth from him) are all dropping him out of an abundance of caution, rather than any likelihood that the years of allegations of inappropriate conduct are based on verifiable facts.

    Right? Right..?

  12. I’m betting it’s a going to come out that his team has been threatening a lot of Young women to keep quiet probably mostly 17-20 year olds

I was a guest on GMB a couple of weeks ago and chatted to David Walliams for a few minutes in the Green Room. He was perfectly friendly and obviously unaware that Harper Collins were about to drop their bombshell. The only thing that struck me at the time was the over-the-top and fawning attention given to him by the programme’s production staff and makeup artists. No wonder he thought he was bulletproof.

  14. This seems harsh to me. He’s not been arrested or committed a crime? He’s had something alleged.

Now, if there’s insider knowledge that he’s done something god awful, fair play but this pile on seems over the top.

Next month he’ll be standing on the podium beside Trump and Katie Hopkins.

Dunno what he’s done, have read it, don’t care, just saying that this is the pipeline

  16. Popped into the works in town yesterday to look for toddler books it was wall to wall David walliams with pound stickers on it lol

  17. Somewhat surprised at how many people seem unable to even consider the *possibility* that he did anything wrong. I mean – innocent until proven guilty definitely comes into play here but, again, to read some of what is being said you’d think he was some immaculate saint incapable of doing wrong.
