    Absolutely terrible article and terrible opinion. It somehow suggests that if we had bigger rockets the James Webb telescope couldve been bigger or it wouldn’t have need to fold up and so it wouldn’t have taken 10 billion dollars and 20 years to develop. They pulled this opinion of their ass.

    This is simply not where all the money is going on telescopes. The james webb telescope would’ve cost the same and been the same size regardless.

    Guys I shouldn’t have to explain this a 21×14 meter sun shield doesn’t fit in 9m diameter rocket.

  3. At this point in time SpaceX has largely contributed to make space observation from the ground more difficult. 

  4. So it seems they have a super-heavy lifter and only now start looking for super-heavy stuff to lift.

  5. Just trying to distract from the damage they’re doing to ground-based observations, which are magnitudes more cost efficient.
