Really? The format was pretty stale towards the end of its initial run.

Christ are they that bereft of ideas that they need to get this shite back on TV?

Scenes we’d like to see has been all over my YouTube feed in the past month, so was starting to miss the show. Great to have it back.

I suppose this is a good thing. There really is quite a lot to take the piss of right now.

I couldn’t believe it was still running when it was, nevermind bringing it back. It was a very tired format.
Chemistry-Deep on
It got cancelled mostly because episodes aren’t evergreen. It was pretty popular right until the end of the run, it just wasn’t making Auntie enough cash.

Eyyyy. Nothing like a break to allow something to come back fresher. That is, I hope they have shifted some things around and not coming back as is.

It’s been shit since they stopped having Frankie Boyle on years ago.

Good! It was a great way for comedians to gain exposure and it provided a bit of light relief from serious topics.

If hugh dennis or sandy toksvig can take the place of dara then i’d love it.
I do like dara’s comedy, he is very witty but i think it could do with a fresh host.

It had a very, very long run. I always though it was a little up its own arse that they acted like it was this terrible injustice that they to conclude after, what, over 20 seasons? Now we have to bring it back because god forbid you create something new

Bet Andy Parsons just been standing outside BBC studios since it was cancelled

Glad to see they brought Dara back. When I heard they were bringing this show back, I was worried they’d commit the same sin as most of these reboots and have it hosted by someone ridiculously unsuitable like Alan Carr.

With the world being as bonkers as it is at the moment, satirical stuff like Mock the Week can be a nice palette cleanser. Glad to see it coming back.

I watched quite a lot but not consistently, we do need more mainstream current affairs with broader appeal. Ofc the top of my head I can only point to HIgNfY and Russell Howards show wherever that lives. Always welcome any suggestions.

If anyone wants a similar feeling show 7 days from New Zealand is brilliant.

Say what you will about the varying quality of the show/the format getting stale etc, but MTW was a tremendous vehicle for up and coming comedians to showcase their talent and properly kick on in their careers.

Can’t we just axe the BBC tax and let the bbc try and survive in the real world and not their socialist padded room?

As long as Nish Kumar stays a long way away from the reboot, I think it’ll work its way back on to mainstream channels.

I didn’t know TLC had a TV channel, but we know at least it’ll be top comedians. They don’t want no scrubs.

I’ll only watch it if Hugh Dennis brings back his classic ‘showaddywaddy’ Jimmy Savile impression.

If they bring back 10-15 year ago version I’m in. Pre weird Frankie days were the best.

Has it only been 3 years, I thought it ended 5 years ago. I hope they switch up the format and make it less political
