I got this email last week. According to the letter my employer can’t hire any more workers however the employer thinks it’s a misunderstanding because they don’t usually fire people . Also seen that the email was sent to me and several workers in the company and to others workers in different restaurants. Has someone come across this issue before? Did the employer manage to fix it? How long did it take? Did you have to reapply and pay 600eu again? Let me know please

Better to ask questions like this in Expats Malta on Facebook there are people there who know way more about these things than basically anyone here.
That being said from what I read about this so far I don’t think there is much you can do. The appeal process would take ages and you’d have to be in Malta during it without working rights still. Your employer is probably wrong about them not firing many people and even if they are not… the appeal process takes ages as I said.
