This is MASSIVE news for the South Caucasus!

But I am very curious to learn what Georgians think of the recent developments and how it could effect Georgia?

Azerbaijan have been hell-bent on this road/rail/oil/gas/electricity/fibre optics corridor via the sliver of land in Armenia’s south, as it would be enormously cheaper and faster than the current route via Georgia.

Russia was supposed to build it and manage it, but Pashinyan refused and made a deal with America instead.

With a peace agreement, both Armenia & Azerbaijan have committed to unblocking borders and using each other’s territory for transportation of goods. Turkey have also announced they will unblock their border with Armenia, allowing Armenia & Turkey to use each other’s territory for transportation of goods.

  1. Why does Trump feel the need to plaster his name on literally everything? I don’t think he can point out Armenia – or the Caucasus for that matter – on a map.

  2. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Do you actually believe this? It’ll be another trump phone or trump coin. Was sold, cashed in, never delivered.

  3. Good for USA, Turkey, Azerbaijan
    Alright for Armenia

But this could be bad for Georgia in the long term, less leverage, less of a middleman role between Armenia and Turkey/and maybe others countries

  4. Georgia has been devoting their existence to appealing the west and protecting their interests in the region and just like that armenia which is a cis member a csto member which occupied globally recognised lands which hosts russian military bases which has close ties with russia suddendly gets a deal thats better than anything georgia has ever gotten for our entire existence.

Armenia will get visa-free travel to USA and join EU before us mark my words.

They will overcome us in economic development through these “dangerous actions” (joining forces with west), meanwhile we will fall behind because of genius geopolitical strategy of GD politicians.

But i hope this happens, if at least 1 country joins EU in Caucasus, this will trigger big things.

  6. After everything that Iran did for Armenia, that’s how they pay us back. That’s a new lesson, NEVER help a nation in need ever again!!
