And so the blackmail continues! It was a huge mistake for the EU to give in the first time.

Someone didn’t get enough attention so he’s acting out again. Did they pack his Ritalin in the diaper bag?

By now, I’m far beyond giving a damn. I have very little desire for our economy to take a hit, but I have even less desire to spend the rest of our lives cowering in the shadow of blackmail.

    4. Could his stance have changed? Previously, he stated he would take it even by force (militarily), but now he seems to be shifting toward trade leverage.
Perhaps the soldiers Europe sent did have an impact on his decision.

    5. He can go with the tariffs if he wants to. Don’t care. It will affect some businesses that in Europe can now go to Mercosur.

Plus his tariffs will hit mostly Americans.

If he learns that everytime he puts on pressure he gets what he wants, we will create a monster.

It’s going to hurt but we need to draw a solid line. Up to here and no further.

Then after that iceland, then canada and so on.
Better donì’t start at all the appeasing game, didn’t worked well the last time with the silly mustace painter guy.

    8. See? Everybody knew that negotiating the previous time was pointless.

Just bring those tariffs on, because even if the EU were to give in now, in a month it’ll be something else he wants or tariffs.

Better to bite the bullet now than wait

Pretty funny that this is happening considering that Europe has constantly supported Yankee imperalism.

Like we say in Portugal: Pepper in someone else’s ass is refreshing

This has only two conclusions: the world will eventually turn against and isolate the United States… or Trump will die and it will go back to being normal.

Huge backwards from an invasion to that old good tarrif game. Let’s just destroy the remaining strand between us, honestly, I don’t care anymore. I am curious though, if Russia and China don’t back the annexation, he will punish them too or only Europe?

    12. Lord_Master_Dorito on

Right, everyone should simultaneously make deals with China like Canada did to piss him off

    13. This is a weak move. In my opinion, his feet are getting cold and now he is just blustering

    14. Thunderbird_Anthares on

literally couldnt give a shit anymore – it doesnt impact us nearly as hard as he thinks it does

he can go F himself with a red hot rake, and entire EU should deploy troops to Greenland – thats the least we can do as a proper statement

    15. So the punishment for compliance is the same as the punishment for noncompliance.

      Sun Tzu this is not.

    16. Also note that this moron is resorting to tariffs than anything military.

      Keep moving troops into Greenland.

    17. A lifelong abuser and narcissist is handed the keys to the most powerful nation in the world .. what happens next?

    18. everyone of you American redditors who are reading this and who didn’t bother to go vote a year ago, this is your fault. you unleashed this monster the second time around and you are directly responsible for the rest of the world now having two Putins. you are shit people.

    19. How about we punish the US and ban every US citizen including the administration from setting foot on European soil or using any of our airports? How about we take control of their companies they put here, turn them into ones that actually comply with our laws and pay taxes. How about the US just fuck off.

    20. Well, in case you missed it, Canada started mending trade relations with China in an attempt to diversify trade away from the US.

Tariffs and stupid threats did this.

    21. RebelliousInNature on

Okay. Go for it. We don’t care if you make our shit more expensive for your consumers.

      What else ya got, chump?

    22. This so funny. Bullies gonna bully.

Giving in didn’t help. It made things worse. He needs the proverbial middel finger. He and his sponsors.

    23. Time to elaborate a European containment plan against the USA. Some point out the sell of US treasure bonds, but we could go further and denounced all debt contracted to US economical actors, or seize US assets in Europe. Trump won’t stopped at tariffs to intimidate us, we must be ready to strike back, and strike back hard.

    24. Dry_Yogurt2458 on

Fragment NATO. Crash the US economy. Alienate the US

Putin must be proud of his star asset
