      Could his stance have changed? Previously, he stated he would take it even by force (militarily), but now he seems to be shifting toward trade leverage.
      Perhaps the soldiers Europe sent did have an impact on his decision.

      Plus his tariffs will hit mostly Americans.

      Well, in case you missed it, Canada started mending trade relations with China in an attempt to diversify trade away from the US.

      Tariffs and stupid threats did this.

Some point out the sell of US treasure bonds, but we could go further and denounced all debt contracted to US economical actors, or seize US assets in Europe.
