Most of the time they can bypass it if you say you forgot your phone but also just download it? Who cares. People winge about the most petty shit.

I mean they do it so a bunch of people download the app who don’t know how to disable notifications and then start sending out future notifications of alcohol deals and inevitably make more money than you’re saving here…

      Yes, it’s bullshit and predatory

    3. Yeah I hate this data-collecting shit. Way too many people just see the discount and don’t think about what they’re actually giving in exchange for it.

Downloading the app and giving it fake details costs nothing.

But it saves me $7 on the wine I prefer (which is why I downloaded it) – and before you say it no, they didn’t jack the price up just to use the app to discount it, its been $21/bottles for almost a year.

Is it predatory? Maybe. No one is out there forcing you to buy alcohol or use the app. Hell for most of the “discounts” I’ve seen using this the exact same drinks are cheaper at Dan Murphys, but its less convenient so 🤷‍♀️

Don’t like it? Pay full price.

    5. I just give em fake details. But geez who can afford to drink in this economy

    6. $48 REGULAR price at Dan Murpheys, or $44 ONLINE ONLY (Not including Delivery fee).

Let your wallet do the walking.

Whatever you do, don’t put your real details into the app. Invert your birth day and month for an easy to remember fake detail. Surname is just your initial or the name of your pet. Create an email account specifically for signing up to garbage and never actually check it.

They also do this in Woolies.

I stopped buying anything from them. I shouldn’t need to give my data out to pay the correct uninflated price

You think it’s casual to download the app until 2 years from now they get data breached and you have loans taken out in your name
