    1. Transatlantic relations are dead. It’s time – high time – for Europe to face the facts.

The US is a hostile regime that directly threatens an EU member state with annexation, while threatening those in support of that EU member state with tariffs.

It’s over, act accordingly. But act, for God’s sake.

That’s the whole point! Trump is Russia’s best investment ever. They really hit the jackpot with him.

The question is how long the EU and the rest of NATO will keep pretending otherwise.

    3. Somehow I don’t think Trump cares, and his threats to take over Greenland via force is a far bigger threat to those relations than tariffs. I really think the EU and European nations should start to call for boycotts of US products and naming those products and companies that they should boycott, like what was done in Canada.

    4. What a bunch of dumbfucks. The tariffs are what’s gonna do it, but not the threatening with war?

    5. I think Europe, Mexico and Canada need to take the United States as a matter of world security. This has gone too far.

Tariffs? Ha ha ha ha. Trump, this buffoon who doesn’t realize that if he attacks Greenland, transatlantic trade will cease to exist.

Eu and Uk should continue on this path. No need for retaliatory tariffs on the US yet. Send more troops to Greenland and continue forging closer ties. Start diverging from US investments too.

It’s time the U.K. made proper moves to rejoin the EU. You’d be mad not to look at how the world is shaping up and not wanting to be part of the union.

Edit: I’d also be looking at strengthening relationships with Mexico and South American countries too.

I hate these statements with a passion. Only worse ones are the ones where they say something about international law

Hi Europe! Want to trade some of our resources and goods for your defense equipment, food items, and cars? I’d love to boot GM and get Renault and Skoda here.

lol. It’s always “Could” or “Might”. Face reality, Trump and MAGA “Have” destroyed the transatlantic relationship.

Can’t keep wagging the finger and talking to him like a child (even though he acts like one). Sanctions, embargoes, travel bans and removal of US troops must all be on the table now. Europe must come together on this.

Give an inch, and they will take a mile.

There as an emergency meeting between European leaders scheduled for tomorrow. Rumors has they intend to suspend the trade deal made with the US and retaliate with tariffs. I REALLY hope that’s the case. Let’s fucking go

Oh wow not another weak statement from Europe. It’s as if they still think there’s a way to control Trump. No one is more powerful than his owners: Putin and Bibi. There is no way to encourage him with sternly worded statements to do the right thing.

What transatlantic relations? Trump has already declared Europe the enemy to be beaten, broken, then split between himself and Putin as vassal states of Russia/America. The only relationship that still exists is with Canada..

    14. Ursula. Please wake the fuck up! The USA is NOT a (reliable) partner anymore! We need to be able to stand strong on our own! Maybe in 10/20 years the alliance could be saved, but then its a bonus! Forget about them now and stop kissing Trumps dirty ass! He does not give a fuck about anyone else than himself!

    15. We’ve failed as Europeans by somehow getting these utterly weak and incompetent leaders in positions of power. Von der Leyen should resign, it’s a disgrace how she makes the EU look and how she isn’t able to read the room when it comes to the opinions of its citizens.

    16. He is not threatening Greenland, he is threatening Europe with a land-grab. I really hope Europe is doing a lot more in the background. We don’t want to be facing Putin and Trump at the same time. And this is where we are heading if we are sending “strong words,” again.

    17. Ok, now we know that the first consultations show that the major powers in Europe are in general agreement about this. Otherwise they would have waited for consultations with ambassadors.

    18. I am done with the USA at this point, consequences be damned. Their military bases in Europe should be shut down & soldiers deported. Kick them out of NATO and stop all trade with them.

They are hostile to us and our interests, having hostile troops on your soil is insane, so is trading with them. We especially should not be buying weapons from them.
