Lovely website. I aspire to create content like this. Would love to know what you used for it.
It would also be interesting to build such monitoring tools for leading economies or maybe a dedicated list of countries that affect the world figures a lot.
Some of these seem more like “thing I could find data for” than anything that would have meaning for your hypothetical “world CEO”.
I can’t decide whether the widely-varying start dates on the graphs were chosen for narrative impact, or simply ignored and left as-is from the underlying data set.
Nice looking stuff, the stats are a bit grab bag and there’s a few things I’d tweak. A lot of the percentages like child mortality should show 0% on the scale. There’s a bunch of stuff about space which is fairly unimportant. Having GDP go back to year 0 is a bit odd. Supercomputer performance should be on a log scale probably
might be interesting, but too small to be legible.
