      There is so much wrong with this, I don’t know where to start.

      First of all, obviously the troops are there to deter an invasion, and (hopefully) in case of an invasion, fight back and make it costly.

      Secondly, the fact that Starmer is “reassuring” Trump with this means he’s implying that he would be RIGHT to react if Denmark + allies were there to defend against a possible attack. Trump wasn’t thinking the troops were there to invade the United States, he thought they were there to defend in case of an american invasion.. As they should, and as Starmer and everyone should support, and which wouldn’t be a problem if Trump wasn’t planning to invade….

      Instead starmer, and the article, is implying that if the troops are there to defend their territory (as they are, and as they SHOULD) Trump would be right to react with tariffs and threats, but don’t worry, it’s just a misunderstanding, they would never DREAM of defending themselves, that would be WRONG!

      This whole article, and the phone call it’s about, is maddening. European leaders are gaslighting all of us with this continued groveling

      As an American I’m sorry. There’s no excuse for this. He’s even at war with our cities. Unfortunately we don’t have the rich history of Europe to cause effective change. Any ideas would be nice. It’s starting to feel like blood is gonna spill. On our streets at least. We will make this right one day to u all. I’m embarrassed to be associated with this bs in anyway. We let you down. Again.

      Guy who sincerely believes an internet meme about him stopping wars is generally not very well informed, but how was he “misinformed” about this? 😀

      Anyway, maybe we should give him a gold plated UEFA deed to the land of Greenland, along with a whole ceremony and everything, he’d believe he won and everyone would be happy. Forcing new geography curriculum onto American schools could cause any more harm anyway. 😀

      But the notion that Starmer is convincing him the troops are in Greenland to address US security concerns in order to calm him down is pretty funny. He’s like a giant, dangerous toddler

      I really think we need to reverse the roles/rules… Put the pressure on: hit the us pre-emptively. You do as we say, else we use the economic bazooka. Done with the appeasement , we will not let nazi’s do whatever they like to do.

      “Misinformed” is a massive understatement. He was manipulated by Stephen Miller, who took advantage of Trump’s egotistical fixation with leaving a legacy and the Nobel Prize. Hopefully Trump gets rid of him if he can see the poll that had 86% of Americans against taking Greenland. But Miller and the other lunatics seem to be withholding correct information from him. Groupthink is certainly at play.

      they can drop the acting. we know they want it because the tech bros want it. if what they wanna use it for, cant be done without annexing it, then i really fear for the Greenlandic people if they get it.

      Europe needs to get a couple thousand more there immediately. Like each of the 10 countries providing troops should put 200 each on a plane and fly them in today, with and any nearby ships should sail into harbors and just off shore. Europe, do not mess around or you will wake to find 1,500 US paratroopers from Alaska landing on airstrip alongside an Executive Order from Trump declaring he has no choice but to annex Greenland due to Denmark’s not protecting it!
