This sort of language from Rutte needs to stop. I could maybe understand trying this strategy at the start, but it’s not working and only validates his actions, just stop, please…
Rutte needs to take his tongue out of Trump’s ass and clearly state that an attack on Greenland will allow the triggering of Art. 5, nothing more.

It is genuinely absolutely no wonder Trump and the US broadly think that NATO is a silly weak little force of incompetent tryhards who can’t commit when this is the (apparent) messaging from the General Secretary.
This is inexcusably weak, it is pathetic, it is irredeemably disgusting and it should lead to immediate expulsion and a trial on Treason.
Not only can we not afford this kind of weakness currently, but this is actively bowing before the enemy. Trump spent the better part of January laying down a bonkers mad claim to Greenland – NATO territory – and Ruttes response reads like a birthday letter youd send to your Manager.
