Hello reddit people ! I’m an architecture student and I have to do a research about Tønsbergdragen or Tønsberdrageren. For now I only found this article in the archive, I’ve searched in the archive, national museum, kinda everywhere my teacher said I could find something but for now not that much. If any of you have any information related to Tønsbergdragen it will help me a lot ! Thank you !

Just FYI:
“drage” means “dragon”
“drager” means “beam” or “girder”. Since there’s mention of this being a “gitterdrager” the best translation is probably something like “lattice girder”
Could you be a little mor specific what you’re researching?
I assume it’s called that because it’s manufactured by Tønsberg Jernindustri.
When I search the [National Library](https://www.nb.no/search?q=t%C3%B8nsbergdrageren) I can find a few references in various architecture and construction magazines.
I don’t have access to view those articles, but from the preview most of them look like ads similar to the one you posted.
