Maltese hate her because she openly talked about labour’s illegalities and corruption.
So they doubled down by smearing her on state tv and facebook how incompetent she is. So now we got lejburisti being anti-eu thanks to that.

If a Maltese politician is appreciated outside of Malta it’s because they act in a way that will shun them domestically, like being outspoken against corruption, nepotism or other problems in the country. Doubt she’ll get much of a career in her home country after she’s done in Parliament.
Worth highlighting that alongside most of the other Maltese politicians she’s of course been outspoken against abortion rights, up until she got the fancy EU job when suddenly she fell in line with what the EU thinks on the topic instead.
My personal assumption is she’s as deep down in corruption as the rest of the so-called representatives Malta has, she’s just not been exposed yet which might make her a bit more smooth than the rest of the rabble but that’s it.

I wish she were Prime Minister but she’s more likely to find success in Europe since the Maltese electorate is lobotomised by propaganda and tribalism.
