“First”? The first crew to be evacuated for a medical emergency? They are extremely happy about being first for that? OP has me confused with their speculation on this photo.

Well that narrows it down a little bit. Ultrasound is used to diagnose a bunch of medical emergencies like internal bleeding (trauma), ectopic pregnancies, appendicitis, gallstones, kidney stones, blood clots (DVT), heart problems (tamponade, low function), aortic aneurysms, pneumonia, and pneumothorax

  3. Why are so many people in this thread assuming it’s a baby? Ultrasounds are used for a variety of diagnosis and aren’t just gimmick tools for pregnancy announcements.

They don’t even need to be specific about the exact location of the issue. But I wish they would identify the generic location this issue was found. They can remove gender entirely. Was it the abdomen, a limb, the chest, head…what?

  5. People, chill. I’ve had like 8 ultrasounds of my leg. It’s never been pregnant, or at risk of being pregnant. Ultrasound doesn’t automatically mean they were checking for pregnancy.
