Greetings
I arrived knowing nothing about Kosovo and left wondering why more people don’t talk about it.
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t really heard of Kosovo until I dated a Kosovar woman while I was in Italy. Let’s just say she had a strong personality 😅 That alone made me curious about the culture, so I figured I had to visit Kosovo myself and find out firsthand whether that fire was hereditary or just her.
Turns out it’s just passion and a lot of hospitality.
From the moment I arrived in Pristina, I was pleasantly surprised. At the café by the bus stop, I got a free orange juice because I didn’t have the right change. First impression was pure mirë se vini energy. I explored the city, met locals at a bar, somehow ended up on a night out, and everyone was incredibly friendly. A few falas drinks even appeared along the way.
Then I went to Prizren and wow. The old town, the mosque, the bridge, and the views from above were absolutely beautiful. When I got off the bus without a taxi, a random guy gave me a free lift to my place. I made great friends there who showed me around and made the whole experience feel very genuine.
Long story short, amazing country and amazing people. In many ways, Kosovo reminded me of my own culture. Warm, generous, proud, and full of heart.
Here are some photos from the trip. I had an incredible time and I’ll definitely be back to explore more cities.
Thank you very much 🇽🇰🤍

Maybe the quiet is good?
I’ve known about Kosovo for a while and haven’t seen news from it, just the typical Albanian vs kosovian memes
Usually news are only posted about bad things, if there are no news then that’s good
I‘ve traumatised an Italian man once, too. Glad our country made up for our strong personalities 😅
Jasht teme po dyqysh it rubs me the wrong way kur ni shqiptarkat tu shku me t huj
Yeah it’s wrong of me i know
I really want to be an English teacher there any help?
Cuz we’re albanians and idiots forget to mention they’re albanians from Kosovo
Didn’t quite get if you’re Italian or just been there for a while, but what is your own culture?
They hate us cuz they aint us
quiet is good. Makes up for bigger suprises just like in your case haha
