    1. “There’s two reasons for it. Unfortunately, it might be needed. And secondly, we’re not going to muck around. We want to send a clear and unambiguous message to the community that they’re safe.”

Cops with automatic guns, never felt safer

    2. Edit: was unaware there were outgunned officers involved, I just saw the footage of civilians trying to stop them.

How about making aboriginal people feel safe?

Change the fucking date. Do not celebrate genocide.

      How about changing laws?

How about acknowledging aboriginal people as the rightful owners of the land?

It’s disturbing how aboriginal people are treated.

    4. Aah yes. The historic way that police have engaged with aboriginal people: behind a gun.

I don’t imagine that aboriginal protestors have the same rights to feel safe and non threatened that we have destroyed fundamental rights in a democracy for? No? Ok cool, gotcha.

And protesters feeling threatened by an aggressive police presence, threatening peace protesters with horses/rifles etc? Still no?

    6. Honestly I thought the length of their arms was fine, but now they’re going to carry someone else’s arms around? Two is enough imho
