That’s probably the last place I’d buy a meal from at the Fishmarkets!

So many other options from the other 40 places!

You can buy a kilogram of extra large cooked prawns within 10 metres of there for the same price!

    2. they really never looked at the origins of po’ boy did they

edit: well i guess you would be one after buying one of these

    3. A $24 “special” for a cauliflower roll when a whole cauliflower costs $5. Please explain the maths because I’m genuinely lost 🤡

    4. I have nothing but contempt for Po Boy. They think they’re being reasonable with their almost $30 bahn mi’s while the other places are actually priced quite decently.

They should look at what happened to the new Paddy’s Market, filled with very average food and sky high prices – whole place has sunk into oblivion and irrelevance.

    5. “Upper-middo’-class Boy” at the very least. Australians undefeated at turning cheap street food from other cultures into another expensive, mediocre franchise.

    6. You want to eat in one of the biggest tourist and upper middle class places in Sydney, you are going to pay the price for it. It is the same the world over.

    7. If you’re going to the fish market craving an overpriced banh mi then something ain’t right?

Jump back on the light rail, get off at John St square and hit up Banh Mi Co on Harris St for a $12.50 roll, so much better

    8. The home of the po boy is New Orleans, and this is off on soooo many levels. A po boy is meant to be a cheap option for food. Po boy is short for POOR BOY.

I’m so over Sydney vendors taking a working class food option from somewhere else on the globe, making it “theirs” and slapping a ridiculous price tag on it.

I’m still waiting for someone to tell me why they have pork and vegetarian options at a literal fish market

Whilst I will give this vendor points for including fries with the sandwich (I thought they were sold separately), there is nothing appealing about eating here. Why would you go to the fish markets to eat a glorified sandwich when there’s sashimi and oysters and fresh prawns? Especially when even those things aren’t *thirty freakin’ dollars* (depending on quantity).
