Confusing title because I was sure that Meloni is the Prime Minister, not the President.

Turns out that the Prime Minister is officially the “president of the Council of Ministers”, which is separate from “President of the Italian Republic” 🫣

I know you guys are gonna hate it here but both Meloni and FdI and Le Pen and RN proved that they are right wing politician but are not traitors to Europe or their countries, I don’t agree with any of her economical and social policies, but she’s speaking a lot of sense in international politics, I’m Italian and I don’t vote for her and never will.

Meloni has voted pro EU and advanced our common interest at every turn on things that matter, so has RN in France.

My personal judgement on this matter is still out on AfD, we shall see if they ever get to the German federal govt.

And come on, sending 40 soldiers to Greenland is more of a performative act than anything, rebuilding our military might is the only real answer, and if it came to ceding Greenland what can we do realistically, you’re all dreaming if you think that the we can compete with the US when it comes to a place like Greenland.

Our energies should go in confronting Russia and coming to terms with them.

and the nobel peace prize is also just a performative thing, the commission cheapened it already when they gave it to Obama just because he’s black, might as well give it to Trump because he is Orange.

Maybe it will do some good somewhere if he gets one, heck I’ll give him one if that gets him to keep sending patriot missile to Ukraine, who cares about a title when the ukrainians actually need missiles to take down the russian ones, and what good did that title did when it was given to Obama, didn’t he just turned around and DIDN’T deal with Iran or Russia?

it could be different in as early as 10 years if we actually rebuild our military might and get together properly, building the ability to project the power we have as a united block, in the meantime we are weak and are forced to deal with the orange bafoon (and the actual evil figure handling the real power behind the scene) and the new multipolar world from a position of disadvantage.

In many ways Trump can be seen as the attenuated virus of post-truth populism that will soon threaten to sweep every western country. He is so abrasive, chaotic and incompetent that it buys democratic forces time and experience to fight against this.
