I dont know how you mean by severity. Some places got less snow than others but have subzero temperatures

Sometimes these things get nuts and sometimes they’re just a foot of snow.
I’m sure it’s a nightmare in the city but outside, it’s just winter.
You have gas for the snow blower and generator, heating redundancy and food. It’s generally 1-3 days of being around the house.
Personally, I’m not mad about it and I’m in the red.

I’m finding red and orange hard to distinguish from each other. So am I screwed, or am I *really* screwed?

Looks like most of purple is in Mississippi, the most extreme effects. Why is that? An ice storm maybe? There’s also purple in TN near the MS border, and in extreme Northeast Georgia and Southwest North Carolina. What’s going on there?

Yeah, my area is orange and we’re forecast to have 10 to 12 inches of snow. Also, our temps are forecast to be teens that feel like sub-zero temperatures today, then actual sub-zero temperatures in two days. For us, I wouldn’t call that “Moderate”. It should be “Major”.
