    1. – Put water out for birds and wildlife, in the shade.
      – Don’t walk your dogs.
      – Fill containers with water tonight and stick them in the fridge.
      – Wet face washers in the freezer to cool you down tomorrow arvo

Leave water out for animals. Take care of each other. If you have elderly family and/or neighbours, check in on them too.

    3. Ayo forced to go office tomorrow while my manager decides to wfh due to family reasons. Save me

Was just checking my work email in the hope of being told to wfh and not take risky journeys in this heat.

      No such luck.

    5. Hopefully the train rails stay straight this time – was comical watching rail workers cooling the rails with garden hoses back in 2009.

    6. Does anyone know if there are swimming holes in the Dandenong ranges? I don’t fancy getting cooked at the beach and a shady swim spot under the trees would do me.

    7. Public transport won’t cope during heatwaves. Avoid the chaos and work from home if you can.

I wish everyone good luck tomorrow! Please stay safe and hydrated. Melbourne and the suburbs (I live in Rowville btw) will experience low to mid-40s temperatures tomorrow.

Im freaked out about having to go to work tomorrow, the heat causes my fibro issues to flair up, but I don’t have a choice 😞

I’m not looking forward to tomorrow, I’m visiting from the UK and this will be the hottest temperature I’ve ever experienced. I’m planning on staying in with the air con on with the window shutters pulled shut.

Got to stock shelves at Coles. Thankfully work in the dairy and frozen section and don’t start til 6pm.

    13. It’s tough being ginger in this weather. I open the door or a window to peek out of and instantly get hit with flash burns.
