Australia is the hottest place in the world *every afternoon* during our summer. Because when it’s summer here, it’s winter in the Northern Hemisphere, and when it’s the afternoon here, it’s early morning in southern Africa and the middle of the night in South America.
to everyone whinging about the fact that it’s always like this because of the seasons/time zones, I’ll be back with a report on the temps of other places (and their populations) in 12ish hours

Fwiw, Australia is “the hottest place on the planet” on approximately 70% of our summer days.
Booked a hair appointment for today last month. Walk out of the salon into the heat, humidity and hot wind and away went all the stylists’ work.
