I logged my mood at the end of every day in 2025 using a scale from Very Unpleasant to Very Pleasant. Each square represents one day, colour coded by how the day felt overall. Entries were recorded nightly with almost no backfilling.

I tagged particularly high and low days and added short notes. Neutral days were the most common overall, but weekends skewed more positive, with Saturday being the best day on average. Most negative days fell on weekdays and were related to work stress or health issues.

I resigned from my job and moved to a new city to live with my partner in December, and the remaining days of the year were consistently positive.

Mood was logged daily via Apple Watch. Data was exported and entered into Excel. Visualisation was created in Excel.

Did your former workplace give you a hard time after submitting your resignation, leading to all the bad days in November?

  2. That string of green after you move in with your partner is so adorable. You must really love them a lot!
