Applications were sent about 50/50 via LinkedIn or directly on companies' sites. I had much more success with jobs on LinkedIn, including where I eventually accepted an offer. I'm happy to answer questions.
I defined a Screening Call as a short conversation where only qualifying questions about me and my career are asked, but there are no personal "interview-style" questions. These were never with managers or directors, they were always just someone from HR making sure I was who I said I was. Some of these marked "Rejected" after the screening call were ended amicably.
This was made three weeks after I accepted my offer and stopped sending out applications. I've had maybe a dozen more rejections come in after then, and I expect I'll have rejections trickling in over the next few months. However, I expect the "no response" category to likely stay well over 200.

congrats on the job! I just got a rejection email from a job I applied for 10 months ago lol
also that’s 6 applications per day? impressive
i never understood applying to hundreds of jobs. Do you essentially apply to everything you see listed in the field no matter what and then figure out if it’s a fit for you or any kind of company you’d want to work for later? are these all local to you or are you willing to move for the job?
the most I’ve ever applied to in a single job search in my life (31M currently IT too) is I think 3 companies.
Congrats on the job! You definitely put in some effort. I do have a question about LinkedIn. How much did you tinker with your LinkedIn profile vs. your resume?
Whenever I see this number of applications I wonder how tailored to each job the application could be. My company manually screens out highly generic/AI-looking applications before our hiring panel even starts looking at resumes. Did you write and submit cover letters for any of these? We’re these all for similar job descriptions or a range? All for more IT Services Sales jobs, or did you go for a change?
I feel this so hard. Was unemployed for over 2 years, must have put nearly 2 thousand applications and resumes out there. Thank fucking god that nightmare is done but never forgotten. Took me to some very dark places. Glad you searching is over. 🫡
