Eh? They literally just state what international law is. There’s nothing in the declaration that suggests anything other than the status quo.
As much as Donald Trump is an absolutely terrible president, Europe would not have started doing this if he hadn’t captured one of these ships without a response first.

Europe has to stop begging for scraps from Washington and start acting like a real power. Time to arm, unite, and stop being the junior partner in a partnership that’s already dead.

American guy. Way to go Europe. This definitely needed to happen. Should’ve started a couple years ago. Russia shouldn’t be moving any oil or gas in this dirty matter of transport. I DO NOT agree with a lot of the going-on’s with the current admin. But this is something you can directly give props to the US military. 1. It helped take out Maduro. 2. The most important. Set off a chain to take out Russian shadow fleet tankers from the seas.
Big ups to the UK and France for finally following suit. Big ups to all the other countries joining in. Russia shouldn’t be making any money to finance their aggression on Ukraine in anyway..

– Medvedev threatening us with nukes.
– Lavrov saying this is a dangerous escalation and there will be consequences
– Putin claiming ships are a legitimate military target
