I’m posting this as a heads up for anyone in Malta who’s dieting or tracking calories.

During my cut, I used to order from Dr Juice when I didn’t feel like cooking, mainly because it’s marketed as healthy and they display calories on their menu.

A while ago, I noticed that their brownie bar was suddenly showing 756 kcal, while I had it logged in my calorie tracking app at 306 kcal from previous orders. At the time, I thought maybe I had made a mistake, even though it already felt odd.

Recently, I noticed the same thing with their banana bread. It went from 206 kcal to 572 kcal. This time I double-checked and I have screenshots, including one taken in June 2025.

Same items, same portions visually. This didn’t happen once, it happened more than once over time.

I’m not telling anyone not to eat there. Just saying that if you’re on a diet and relying on calorie numbers, you should be careful and not blindly trust the listed values from them.

For anyone on a diet: Dr Juice nutrition info can’t be trusted

  1. Cheers, going to stop buying from them, that’s really scummy – would rather they not mention calories at all than outright lie about it

All these “healthy food” chains are serving non optimal food. I mean they sell wraps ffs. All of them. If you actually care about what you eat – eat at home. If you are too lazy get an airfryer. If you dont want to clean it get a dishwasher. Find a solution that works for you.
