My favourite art style is “fucked murals on sound fences” and I’m not even kidding. I want every example of them heritage listed.
The best part is these are WAY better paintings of humans than I could ever manage, but they’re just off enough to become nightmares.

Their used to be a real weird looking kid on there years ago who had what looked like a moustache. Just Bayside things.

These poor kids won a competition to have their faces painted on the mural.
Supposedly, work for the dole started it, but the paint they were using was toxic or it reacted with the stuff in the wood and made people sick, so the project was stopped.
Years later it was started up again, resulting in the magnificent artwork we see today.
It recently was announced that it would be taken down/painted over.

Yaknow when you’re working on a drawing at an angle and it looks fine until you actually look at the head-on? Yeah. That has to be what happened here.

In this particular picture, it’s called perspective. The closer things are to you the bigger they look. The big head is closer, you can’t see their arms in the frame.
