      God knows why they capitalize every word, but I’d say that the risk has turned into an issue by now.

      Maybe it is for the good. EU needed a jolt to wake up and election of the pedo king has done that. EU needs to be self sufficient especially in tech and defense because we see how America, China and Russia weaponize these factors.

      Exactly!!! That’s why I’m not a conservative, because I understand that that’s what conservatism always leads to. Everyone being for themselves and eventualy to war long term. But the thing is us on the left see that because we think these things through, while right wingers they need to see what the result of their decisions looks like firsthand to realize that’s not what they like. While us o nthe left can predict this obviously to happen. The right learns onyl from exmaples and then they forget it 4 years later.

      Just like a Disney villain: they start out surrounded by an adoring mob, as they are charismatic and bold. But by the end they are completely alone, after showing their true colors as a manic bully, and everyone gradually nopes out.

      That’s a consequence of Trump government’s attitude and behaviour towards allies, although a few of them still hope to be his favourite vassal.

      Isolate and marginalize the USA. Ignore Trump and his goons. Stop buying their products and create new partnerships with more respectable, trustworthy nations.

      America First is absolutely perfectly fine!! All countries should think about the best of their citizens FIRST. However sometimes these best interests are tied to the best interests of others! America First shouldn’t fucking over your allies! It is perfectly possible to think about America First while maintaining good relationships with other countries.

      What baffles me is how Trump has convinced his MAGA cult that he is highly respected around the world. it’s the very opposite, he has turned the US into a country that people look down their noses at. The US is led by a thoroughly disgusting man and he makes very sure everyone knows it. They are living in an alternative reality

      It is as planned. For America’s true adversaries this is an amazing result – the U.S. disintegrating 80 years of bult-in alliances and soft power in a year. They could not have dreamt of a better result 20 years ago.

      For Trump and his ilk it does not matter. They have never been patriots or cared about democracy, they want Americans to be isolated and at each other’s throats so they can end the American experiment once and for all and consolidate all power, so that it is impossible to threaten their wealth by demanding fairer division of wealth through democratic means.

      This was always the most confusing slogan… It’s always been America first. And everyone else was ok with it because, well frankly because we were able to work with America’s companies abd use the scale provided. 

      Now it’s America only. Why would anyone want to work towards enriching some foreign rulers when it costs them.

      They set their stall out from the start as “America Alone”, fine with me. It’s the sheer hypocrisy and arrogance with them that gets me… criticising Canada, the EU and UK for pursuing trade agreements with other China, India, etc.
