Certainly not with king Trump in office. He has screwed up international relations for decades to come.

  2. if checks and balances stop working when trump is in power, whos to say, there wont be a worse trump 10 years down the line

  3. It’s not just about the feeling; they simply aren’t anymore and don’t even try to hide it.

  4. To a surprise of absolutely no one. Which is funny considering that Poles were the biggest allies of US in EU.

  5. I think we are at the point where countries where the population generally feel that the USA IS a trustworthy ally is actually newsworthy.

  6. When even Poland, a country desperate to grovel before USA just to spite Russia, starts doubting the USA, you know it’s over.

Tbf, Trump is also very friendly to Russia. I can see why the average Pole is rightfully pissed about it

My belief is that Trump was doubling down on threatening to invade Greenland to try and force Denmark to sell Greenland to the US for well below its value.

I think Mark Carney called it as it is, USA is attempting to use it’s strategic military partnerships and trade partnerships as leverage to force countries to give the USA one sided deals that only benefit the USA.

The USA doesn’t seem interested in honouring the agreements it has made. Everything seems transactional now.

We can only assume if a NATO country is attacked and invokes article 5 Trump will demand all their rare earth mineral rights in perpetuity or he won’t help defend them.

USA is acting more like a Mafia boss doing a shakedown than an ally. Insanity.

    >800 respondents were asked: “**Do you consider today’s United States to be a trustworthy ally of Poland?”**

    >**Only 29.9% of respondents answered “yes,” with 53.2% responding negatively**. Another 16.9% said they had no opinion on the matter.

if you showed that to a Pole 10 years ago, they’d think you’re insane

The myth of USA as our potential saviour and land of free was popular through the whole communism period and lived on till recently, with seeing the US military as the only one that can stand for Poland against the threat of Russia, And now it’s all being dismantled

  10. As a American, you guys are right . A good half of America isn’t even loyal to America anymore they disregard our constitution our ideals for whatever the orange dear leader says

never have been. it’s just becoming obvious to europeans now that US behaves to them like they always did to the rest of the world. De Gaulle was right all along.

  12. The US is not an ally to any nation other than Russia currently, and probably won’t be for a VERY long time.
