Certainly not with king Trump in office. He has screwed up international relations for decades to come.
if checks and balances stop working when trump is in power, whos to say, there wont be a worse trump 10 years down the line
And Poland used to be one of the most pro-US countries in the EU.

I think we are at the point where countries where the population generally feel that the USA IS a trustworthy ally is actually newsworthy.
When even Poland, a country desperate to grovel before USA just to spite Russia, starts doubting the USA, you know it’s over.

My belief is that Trump was doubling down on threatening to invade Greenland to try and force Denmark to sell Greenland to the US for well below its value.
I think Mark Carney called it as it is, USA is attempting to use it’s strategic military partnerships and trade partnerships as leverage to force countries to give the USA one sided deals that only benefit the USA.
The USA doesn’t seem interested in honouring the agreements it has made. Everything seems transactional now.
We can only assume if a NATO country is attacked and invokes article 5 Trump will demand all their rare earth mineral rights in perpetuity or he won’t help defend them.

The myth of USA as our potential saviour and land of free was popular through the whole communism period and lived on till recently, with seeing the US military as the only one that can stand for Poland against the threat of Russia, And now it’s all being dismantled
Most poles think that in case of war, than we are on our own.
What took decades to build, Trump managed to tear down in just a year and a half.

As a American, you guys are right . A good half of America isn’t even loyal to America anymore they disregard our constitution our ideals for whatever the orange dear leader says
