That’s just cos of the printing process the bottom curve of the 9 bleeds into the top circle so it looks like an 8. I mean it’s not interesting really. Are we reduced to posting printing errors in this sub now?
in Finland we have this thing called *pilkunnussija*
It says 1917 on both, you can see on the left mug the small notch where the lower portion of the 9 connects to the upper one. The design is probably stamped onto the paint, so it’s just a small cosmetic error.
