    1. The government has never and will never give a fuck about us. They only care about themselves and southern finland, cause thats where they live. In the rest pf finland we have had to deal with cut backs and beeing laid off cause we work in the public health sector. All while the money we save goes to their pockets.

Time for us finns to stop beeing dinenr table politicians and stsrt eating the politicians

    2. There is a recent HS article about this.

That is bringing the unemployment question into totally different light, IMHO. Finnish born unemployment has remained about the same, but immigrant unemployment has skyrocketed after 2023..

I haven’t listed myself in TE yet., even getting gigs and summer job in healthcare sector is extremely hard to get at the moment. How can I compete with 200-300+ applicants for few positions when finnish is my second language, I don’t have lääkelupa, no driver license or car and recently graduated. Hoiva avustaja jobs are also very few. These savings in healthcare sector aren’t helping at all, especially when they decrease manpower even more

    4. “Second month in a row” wait til they find out how long the interviewing process often takes

Sure let’s take in more people with no Finnish skills, let them stay for 2 years after graduation and bring their families in too.

    6. Data shows its mostly immigrants, not finnish. But what ever I guess, can we pls get some EU money and also Greece could give us some of ours back too thx!

    7. What would happen if you moved hundreds of thousands of people from 3rd world countries into let’s say South-Korea, and they don’t happen speak more than few words of the language. Unemployment.

It’s insane how naive all the people who are behind the immigration that has happened since 2020s (around 50-70k people a year) are about language learning when it comes to the average person from around this planet and how fast they can become fluent in Finnish. And so many people also come via perheenyhdistäminen and they most likely are not fluent in Finnish neither I’m guessing.

It would be really interesting to know how much child benefits are paid currently per capita vs. 20 years ago in a country with continually lowering and record breaking child birth rates.

If you live in the countryside you might not notice this but the population of Helsinki has grown by multiple hundred thousand in under 10 years. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s concentrated mostly into East and North-Eastern Helsinki.

Doesn’t surprise me at all that there is a ton of unemployment. Näin Hölmölässä.

    8. Yeah, decided to leave Finland even though I am employed. So high tax and demotivating environment for the hard workers

Why doesnt Finland just follow the Estonian model? Kick the less fortunate ones to the curb and give rich tax insentives.

I like that it easily defaults to immigrants fault. I’m glad I got a job somewhere else.

Do you think there’s going to be solutions during this goverment? Investments, ease of access, hiring programs, events or even just opportunities?Â
