For context: I'm 26 years old, I share an apartment with 2 other people, I work as a senior engineer, I'm doing a PhD, I don't have a girlfriend or family in the city, and I don't have pets.
Are you happy? What are you saving money for? What are you goals in life?
Sorry heavy questions. Great chart. Is it info from the bank or did you manually noted down expenses?

Spending more on food (including eating out) than housing is crazy. Are you planning on buying or renting something for yourself in the near future or is this a good position for a longer period?

Come on, OP, share some of those miscellaneous expenses with us! >:)
Jokes aside, pretty interesting. Along with housing, which you explained, you also spend little on transportation: in larger cities taxes, parking, insurance and often tines psyments for a car make a significant expense but housing and mobility is only about 15% for you. Good stuff!

What’s that type of visualization called by the way?

Sharing an apartment with 2 people as a senior engineer is the most ‘Brazilian housing market’ thing I’ve ever heard. Even with a high salary, those São paulo/Rio rents are no joke. No wonder your ‘rent’ bar is the biggest chunk of that sankey diagram, after ofcourse the shopping bar.
