There goes our taxes..and I love it that the government confirmed and admitted that they will not provide any tax benefits or improvements or raise the bracket tax limit until 2028 because the budget is going to be used to buy weapons / defense.

yeah the problem is that Ukraine knows what it needs
and they are heavy set on drones making their own frames motors and flight controllers(im prty sure they cant make their own vtx systems yet unlike ruzzia)
Poland seems to be throwing money at various contractors
looking at 2 different contracts for overpriced interceptor drones just as an example
or using 5 different battle tanks – fucking why ? that’s 5 times more training required to get familiar with the system and 5 types of platform to maintain and sharpen your skills on
i understand that they are trying to transition to 3 types but still

At least we all know where this money is going.
Polish public education and healthcare have been under pressure for years. Teachers in Poland earn much less than their colleagues in countries like Germany, often several times less, which leads many people to feel the education sector is getting poorer and less stable. A lot of experienced teachers leave or take extra work just to keep up with living costs.
Public healthcare is funded through mandatory monthly contributions, but in reality access is often difficult. Waiting times for NFZ appointments can be long, so many people, including most of my friends, end up paying for private GP visits even though they already pay health insurance through their salary.
In my personal view, both state education and healthcare are slowly weakening because of underfunding and staff shortages. On top of that, Poland’s birth rate is falling fast and the population is aging, which will likely put even more strain on the system in the coming years and could seriously hurt the country’s future if nothing changes.

How many soldiers can we mobilize in first 2 weeks of war? How many cities are we able to cover against rockets and drones?
Spending money doesn’t mean we are that good.

Poland should direct some of its large spending towards drone technology, paying Ukraine for their expertise in the matter… it would be a win-win for both countries.
