Honestly, we are governed by morons with no capacity for future planning or provision for flexibility. Go look at the 1942 imagery on sixmaps, so much industry along the waterfronts. Many dry-docks and slip ways all gone today. Piers and jetties everywhere. Railway to the harbour. Now we have next to nothing and next to no capacity to expand and build it again if we ever wanted or God forbid…. needed.
“We don’t need industry in Australia”. We also don’t need more $$$$$ apartments with waterfront views of other $$$$$ waterfront apartments..
