Metropolitan University – the current state of the faculty and how they treat students

I know it might not be the best time for this, but I have to inform and warn future students.

Hello everyone, I’m studying at the Metropolitan and lately the situation at the university is shameful and I wanted to share this with you. Whoever wanted to enroll in this faculty, I strongly recommend not to enroll in it because they are selling the story that they are “modern”"a student in the center of attention, excellent working conditions, and it’s all a lie. We are currently boycotting Google reviews, but our negative comments have been deleted. During the night, 30-40 comments were deleted. What’s the matter? We didn’t have heating at the university for a very long time, many of my colleagues were sick because of this. Now they installed air conditioners. We have holes in the walls through which the cold wind blows. Classrooms are moldy and non-functional. If you spend more than 15 minutes in the room, you start getting headaches, which means that the space is not healthy to stay in, what’s more, it’s dangerous to spend time there. Colleagues from the art department told me that they didn’t have a photo studio for the entire semester, which is necessary for them to prepare pre-exam assignments in photography, and that cameras are not allowed to be borrowed because they marketing metropolitan uses for its own purposes. Colleagues from fashion design could not take their exams because the atelier was not working, and there are graying machines there. In addition, computers do not work, when you first enter the faculty, you have all lectures in a classroom where computers work RU1, and then you are transferred to others where half of the computers do not work, and the other half do not simulate the programs in which you are working. Of course, all programs are pirated, and many of them do not work.

Besides all that, what is happening right now. The faculty administration is pressuring us to pay more than we should, in what sense? Yesterday, a large number of people were taken off the internet because they did not pay their debt on time". From what I understand, a lot of us were removed because we registered for the exams on the 30th and 31st, and the administration demands that everything be paid by the 1st, and they always pressure us with negative and rude emails. If you are late even a day or two, they remove the students from the system, and to get you back on the system you have to pay 5000 dinars. Not to mention the fact that we have to pay 1500 dinars for one exam. So, a large number of students were removed from the system just two days before the deadline, where they now have no access to the lessons (how do we even prepare for exams?). Tomorrow is the first exam, and for the entire exam period in the first part of January, we are absolutely damaged by the lack of study materials, including money. Also, we were told that the exams we fail in January A, we will not be able to take in January B.

Another problem is the lack of deadlines this year and their attitude towards students who are constantly whining and begging for things to change, but nothing is being done about it, they are just looking to take our money. The parliament does nothing, even the president of the parliament, Dina Jovic (for everyone to know) is closely tied to the administration. I was told that everything goes through her and that the other members of parliament don’t even have many opportunities to improve the situation. He will probably reform.

Of course, what remains for us is to complain through social networks and to inform young people who have not yet enrolled in the university not to do so, because this university really should not be given a single dinar, without commenting on how much money I gave and how much I pay per year. All of us.
